PUBLIC NOTICE

Pursuant to Governor Inslee’s Proclamation 20-28.4, in an effort to curtail the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the City Council and Planning Commission meetings will take place online. The public will not be allowed to attend in person. You may watch the meeting online or listen to it over the telephone. Written public comment will be acknowledged during the meeting and a summary will be read by the City Clerk.

September 21 City Council Meeting

To watch the meeting over the internet, follow these steps:  1) Go to https://zoom.us/join; 2) Enter meeting ID (891 1841 2713) and click “join” (you will be prompted to install the Zoom application if you do not already have it); and 3) Enter password (09 21 20).

To testify at the public hearings, please use the “hand raise” tool within the Zoom program or press *9 if you are participating via phone. These actions will notify the City Council that you would like to testify. When called upon, you will be unmuted and asked to state your name and address for the record and be given five minutes to speak. (You may also be asked to spell your name for the written record.)

If you are unable to participate in the public hearings online or by telephone, written public testimony may be submitted until September 21, 2020 at 4:00 pm, to the attention of the City Clerk, 6100 219th Street SW, Suite 200, Mountlake Terrace, WA 98043 or via email: cityhall@ci.mlt.wa.us, and will become part of the permanent record. To submit public comment (not related to the public hearings), please email your remarks to cityhall@ci.mlt.wa.us or mail them to City Hall, 6100 219th Street SW #200, Mountlake Terrace, WA 98043. Written public comment must be received by 4:00 p.m. on the day of meeting to be acknowledged that night. Please reference “Public Comment for September 21 City Council Meeting” on your correspondence. The City Clerk will read a summary of public comments in the meeting.

The City Council’s regular meetings are the first and third Mondays of each month unless that day falls on a national holiday, then they meet the next evening at 7:00 p.m. Their work/study sessions are the preceding Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. The Planning Commission meets on the second and fourth Mondays of each month.
