Overview

The Recreation and Park Advisory Commission (RPAC) promotes the use of recreation facilities and programs and participates in citywide special events. They encourage and contribute to volunteer park projects including playground installations and park clean-up activities. They communicate with subcommittees, and other volunteer organizations providing recreation services within the community.

Major projects include updating the Recreation Park Open Space Plan 2015 (PDF) as part of the City's Comprehensive Plan and making recommendations on these projects to the City Council. RPAC meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Mountlake Terrace City Hall.
